Our first photo of the planet Mars is going to help us ORIENT OURSELVES to its geography from north to south and from east to west, so that future detail photos can be placed in their correct context. I have a map to include here, the place-names on which are largely arcane except for Meridian, which is center front directly below the northern cleft.
Mars has a blue sky.
Mars is smaller than they say.
Atmosphere & water.
NOTE!!
People are there.

For a Picasa Album, 45 photos of the people of Mars, go here. You may have to have a Google sign-in, but I make all my Albums PUBLIC so word gets around.
DOWNLOAD "Mars In Photos," 25.5MB EBOOK, 69 pages of Mars close-up photos, go here. And when you print it, LIGHTEN UP INK dispensing, because there is a lot of BLACK in space photos and you don't want the pictures to over-ink. ... And please, if you help yourself to an eBook, please leave a donation for server costs and time-in-service. Thank you.
NOTE: All NASA PHOTOGRAPHS ARE UNCOPYRIGHTED. I have reproduced their policy.
